Eminent Chinese scholar

Hon-Shiang LAU is an eminent Chinese scholar and was Chair Professor at the City University of Hong Kong. He retired in 2012 to concentrate on his research on China-Tibet historical relationship. Prof LAU received his Ph.D. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA, in 1973. He was: Regents Professor, Oklahoma State University, USA, 1987-2000; Chair Professor of Operations Management, City University of Hong Kong, 2000-2012; and was appointed ‘Consulting Professor’ by PRC’s Shanghai Jiaotong University (1981) and Shanghai Tongji University (1985).
